In this privacy policy, you will learn how we handle your data when you use Voice Your Future.

Why is your voice collected?
Voice Your Future’s analysis tool is employed to analyze your voice, enabling us to automatically identify certain characteristics. During app usage, data in the form of sound recordings are captured and automatically analyzed by Voice Your Future. The processing of personal data occurs during the use of this tool. We place a high value on the protection of your personal data and ensure that no more data is processed than is strictly necessary and that your information is handled with care.

Who is responsible for processing my personal data?
Voice Your Future is the data controller as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We are located in Abcoude, Netherlands. For what purposes are my personal data processed and on what legal basis?
Your personal data are processed for the following purposes:

1. Analysis: After recording, the content is used for analysis to automatically generate a report for the participant and/or the client.
2. Research: The content of the discussions may be used by Voice Your Future researchers to improve our algorithms, such as enhancing predictive power or mitigating bias.

Are special categories of personal data processed?
Yes, special categories of personal data are processed for analysis purposes, including:

• First name, last name, email address, and the signature created in the app during recording.
• The audio recording is used once for analysis to generate your report. We do not store the audio recording.

Who has access to my personal data?
Access to your personal data—first name, last name, email address, and signature created during the recording—is restricted to authorized employees of Voice Your Future and the client(s) as necessary for their roles or functions.

Are my data shared with third parties?
Your personal data are stored on AWS servers located in Ireland. Despite encryption, personal data are involved, which are not shared with third parties unless Voice Your Future is legally required to disclose such data due to a legal obligation or court order.

How long are my personal data retained?
Your special personal data—first name, last name, email address, and the signature created in the app—are retained for a maximum of one year (twelve months).

How are my personal data protected?
Voice Your Future implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure personal data against unauthorized access, loss, and other forms of unlawful processing.

What rights do I have under the GDPR, and how can I exercise them?
You can exercise your right to object under Article 21 of the GDPR if you believe there are specific circumstances that make your privacy interests outweigh the interests mentioned above. Additionally, under the GDPR, you have other rights that you can exercise under certain conditions, including the right to access, the right to rectification if your data are factually incorrect or incomplete, the right to erasure, and the right to restrict processing.
